Merlin is a villager in Dreamlight Valley from 
The Sword in the Stone. He was included in the game during the early access release on September 6, 2022.
He is the first villager the player meets and acts as a guide to Dreamlight Valley.
Unlocking[]
Merlin is unlocked automatically at the beginning of the game and greets the player in the 
Plaza, his house is located in 
Peaceful Meadow.

Merlin can be gifted items and spoken with daily to gain 
Friendship and increase his Friendship Level. A role can be assigned to Merlin once he reaches 
Friendship Level 2, hanging out with Merlin and performing actions related to his role yields more resources and Friendship points.
